The short answer
To give a belt, measure one they already wear from the buckle end of the leather to the hole they use most and round to the nearest even inch, or take their jeans size and add 2. A black full-grain belt such as #VAR007 (US$149) suits almost anyone. For Christmas, order by December 7 for Canada and the US, or November 30 internationally.
The only hard part of giving a belt is the size. Here are three ways to get it right without spoiling the surprise.
